Security Training

Threat Protect RTO No. 52880 are scoped to deliver the CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations. This training can be delivered as an entire qualification or as individual units of competency depending upon our client’s requirements.

On successful completion of the course, a participant could obtain employment in the role of a security officer, responsible for maintaining safety and security by patrolling, protecting and guarding property, and screening entry, monitoring behaviour and removing persons from premises.

Occupational titles could include:

  • Security Officer
  • Unarmed Guard
  • Crowd Controller

This qualification is suitable for individuals who wish to deepen and broaden their skills and knowledge in security operations and lead security teams in the field. It provides a pathway to further learning and work in various security roles and settings, including security risk management.

Security officers at this level provide leadership in a team environment, operate under limited supervision, and use discretion and judgement in known and unpredictable work contexts. They take responsibility for their own outputs in work and learning, and limited responsibility for the output of others in the work team.

Course Delivery

The mode of delivery includes any combination of the following:

  • Face to face in a simulated workplace environment for required performance and knowledge evidence.
  • Work experience in commercial work site — third party report.
  • Online for some components of training for knowledge evidence.
  • In a classroom (‘off the job’) for some components of training for knowledge and performance evidence.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Threat Protect offer an RPL pathway for learners with knowledge and experience in the Security Industry that is relative to the units of competency offered in the CPP31318 Certificate III in Security qualification.

Should learners have previous knowledge on this subject and wish to follow our RPL program we can assist by providing them with an assessment only program.
